The XVII Inter Rashtriya Military School Pentangular Meet was declared open by Col Bhoop Singh, Deputy Commandant, Maratha LIRC here in the school stadium. The five Military School contingents arrived in a wonderful march past carrying their school flags as per the positions attained by them in the previous pentangular meet. The chief guest administered them the oath. The school captain and the team captains carried the torch to lit the fire to represent energy, strength and vigour. After that the chief guest declared the XVII Inter Rashtriya Military School Pentangular Meet open. After that he released white pigeons symbolizing the peace, prosperity and harmony. Later on colorful balloons were released into the sky which
represented the ambitions of the cadet and their aim to reach new heights.During his speech the chief guest emphasized that the Military Schools have produced great officers in the defence forces since their inception and also advised the cadets to work hard to achieve overall development through such sports and extra curricular activities.

The football matches were played on league basis. In the morning session Rashtriya Military School, Dholpur was defeated by Rashtriya Military School, Bangalore by 02 goals to Nil. It is almost a one sided match. In the second match RMS Belgaum was defeated by RMS, Ajmer in a closely contested match. RMS, Belgaum missed many opportunities to score goals. In the Basket ball tournament RMS, Dholpur defeated RMS, Belgaum by 08 points. RMS, Dholpur scored 44 points whereas, RMS, Belgaum scored only 36 points. In another closely contested match RMS, Chail was defeated by RMS, Ajmer through slander margin.
Today’s major attraction was Inter Rashtriya Military Schools Debate Competition for Seniors as well as Juniors. It was a spectacular show which was appreciated by one and all. The topic which was given to Juniors was “Co-education system in Rashtiya Military Schools will bring in Healthy Competition among girls and boys” and the topic given to Seniors was “Reduction in vacation for cadets of Class XI & XII will improve performance of cadets in CBSE and NDA Exams”. All the cadets were very eloquent and delivered a wonderful debate. One of the judges commented that they have spark of fire in them. The event was judged by Mrs. J Rocque, Principal Good Shepherd Central School, Belgaum, Mrs A Roberts, Mr. Ashok Ghatage.
